Daughters Anne, Beth and son Mark are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of their wonderful, loving Mother Gloria Jean Ashley, née Heawood, at home in Moira, Leicestershire, aged 94. Born in Melton Mowbray.
Daughter of the late Esmé and Edgar Heawood and sister of the late Michael Heawood. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, aunty, sister-in-law, and friend.
She founded Moira Playgroup through which her voluntary work helped families in the local community for many years.
She will be remembered for her witticisms and interesting wide range of stories about her fulfilling life. Her love, fun and wisdom will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be private for close family and friends.
